I bought these for my kids to introduce sustainability in a simple, hands-on way. They loved that they could use the notebook first and then plant the seed-paper cover afterwards.”
A compact and sustainable notebook designed for everyday ideas, notes, and sketches. This notebook features a plantable seed-paper cover that can be planted in soil after use, giving it a new life as plants instead of waste.
Inside, the notebook contains blank pages made from recycled paper, with a natural texture and subtle fibres that highlight its eco-friendly character. Its lightweight, pocket-friendly size makes it ideal for work, university, travel, journaling, or gifting.
Once you have finished using the notebook, simply remove the seed-paper cover, soak it in water, plant it in nutrient-rich soil, water regularly, and watch it grow.
It starts with what others throw away. Follow the journey from paper and agricultural waste to Broton’s recycled paper varieties.
Plant It After You’ve Used It !
The notebook’s outer cover is made from plantable seed paper. Once the notebook has been fully used, carefully remove the outer cover and soak it in water for around 2–3 days until it softens.
Place the soaked cover in moist, nutrient-rich soil, cover it lightly, and water it regularly without letting the soil become waterlogged. Under suitable conditions, the seeds embedded in the cover can begin to germinate and grow.
The inner pages are recycled paper and are not plantable; only the removable outer cover should be planted.

I honestly bought it because I was curious about the plantable cover, but I ended up liking the recycled paper just as much. I chose the paper waste sheets and the natural grey colour looks much better in person...
Such a nice idea for a notebook. The pages are recycled, but the part I found most interesting is the seed-paper cover. I’m actually looking forward to finishing the notebook so I can try planting it.
